Technical Information
Combination boiler systems differ from conventional heating and hot water systems in a number of fundamental ways that make combi boilers the preferred choice for new installations across the country. The most important feature of a combi boiler is that it does away with the need to store hot water saving considerable space and heat energy. Space is also further saved as there is no need for a separate cold water storage cistern. All of this reduces the amount of piping and other equipment required, reducing installation time and costs. These feature differences can be seen clearly in the pictures underneath.
Another major advantage of combi boilers is that hot water is supplied at mains pressure, making powerful, hot showers possible without the need for a pump. There are also considerable savings on the cost of hot water.
